In compliance with Letter No. 2706/Registrar/ABVMU/2026 dated 11 July 2026 issued by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, a Plantation Drive* was organized by Apex College of Physiotherapy, Varanasi on 12 July 2026 at Sundarpur Police Chowki and Bhikharipur Pokhra.
The programme was conducted under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Puneet Jaiswal, Principal, Apex College of Physiotherapy. The event was coordinated by Dr. Saurabh Anand, Vice Principal, along with faculty members Dr. Rajeev Tiwari, Dr. Rajat Kumar Singh, and Dr. Vaishnavi Singh. Students of the college actively participated in the plantation drive.
During the programme, various saplings were planted with the objective of promoting environmental conservation and creating awareness about the importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance. All participants pledged to nurture and protect the planted saplings and to continue contributing towards a greener and healthier environment.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Puneet Jaiswal emphasized the vital role of trees in controlling pollution, conserving biodiversity, and ensuring a sustainable future for the coming generations. The faculty members and students also reaffirmed their commitment to environmental protection and encouraged everyone to plant more trees.
The plantation drive was a commendable initiative of Apex College of Physiotherapy towards environmental sustainability and social responsibility. The programme concluded with a collective pledge to work for environmental conservation and contribute to the creation of a greener India.
